It's that time of year where our immune systems are vulnerable and we are exposed to so many things all over the place. I *LOVE* Inner Defense for keeping my immune system strong and supported.
Inner Defense are premade capsules of Thieves (Cinnamon Bark, Lemon, Clove, Eucalyptus Radiata and Rosemary), Oregano, Lemongrass and Thyme. This results in a very potent and powerful concoction that will save your butt when you need it.
When I start to feel iffy and my immune system needs a boost, this is one of my go to products. I do not take these everyday but I save them for when I need them. However, if I am around someone displaying signs of a weak immune system, if I am in a big crowd in winter or doing something like flying/travelling, I will take one to be proactive. I will tell you, these REALLY WORK.
These little capsules when taken regularly will also create an unwelcoming environment for yeast and fungus in your system, and help promote healthy respiratory function.
Young Living supplements are created specifically for fast and maximum absorption. Did you know most supplements on the market are made with synthetic ingredients, and pass through our systems mostly (or completely) unused? I love knowing I am getting the most benefit possible with my Young Living supplements.
It is best to take these with food or on a full belly to avoid burping up the taste of Oregano or experiencing stomach upset. These do contain fish and coconut, so best avoided for those who are vegetarian/vegan or allergic to fish or tree nuts.
Keep a few on hand in your purse/bag/car so if you need them fast, you will have them on hand. The sooner you can take when you start to feel you need one, the better. I cannot tell you how many times in the past 2 months these babies have come to my rescue!! They are like mini little superhero capsules!
For best results, I pair these with Super C capsules and some NingXia Red with vitamin D and zinc.
Inner Defense is #3295 and is $26.95 for 30 capsules.
Did you know you can cook with your Young Living Vitality oils? Heck yes you can! Using oils in your food can add a next level of flavor that your taste buds will thank you for! Here are some really great ideas for fall cooking.
If you are gluten or dairy free like I am, you can alter the recipes to meet your needs.
I think this soup would taste fantastic with coconut milk
I think this recipe would be good using almond milk in place of the milk and GF AP flour, too.
Love Pumpkin Spice? Here is a nice, healthier way to spice up your coffee this fall. Use Cashew, Coconut or Almond milk if you are dairy free.
Diffusing is such a fantastic way to experience Young Living oils. I personally love diffusing because it packs a punch with FOUR benefits in one easy action.
1- Diffusing provides your home with a wonderful smell without having to be exposed to heavy chemicals such as with candles, plug in fresheners, or air sprays, and without that headache that many of those products can provide too.
2- Diffusing Young Living oils purifies the air and actually eliminates odors instead of just masking them. Looking for better air quality? Diffusing is the answer! This is especially key in winter months.
3- Diffusing Young Living oils benefits our health by feeding our cells and strengthening systems- immune system, respiratory system, nervous system, help with mental clarity and focus, influencing our hormone centers and more! WOW! Can a scented candle do that?
When using some of the outstanding blends that Gary Young created- we are able to support and strengthen multiple systems at once and influencing more than we realise. It really is so cool!
4- Diffusing Young Living oils boosts our mood! They can help relax or calm us, uplift us, help send us off into a deep sleep and more!
Here are some nice ideas for fall diffusing, Enjoy!
Let's be real- mornings can be TOUGH to face- especially if it is a workday or school day. My girls would rather sleep in and then snuggle on the couch for hours before getting going, but that is not a reality during the school year.
I have a lot of oils in my collection but I find myself reaching for this combo morning after morning to give us a nice, cheerful start to the day. It really works!
First of all, the base blend of this is Christmas Spirit. This is a combo of Cinnamon, Cypress and Orange and it is WONDERFUL. I avoided this blend for probably 2 years until I finally decided to give it a try and it was nothing like I expected. When I diffuse this in my home, anyone who walks in goes right over to the diffuser and hovers over it, taking deep breaths. We use this year round now. It is quite affordable as well at $10.25 wholesale price for a 5ml bottle.
This is lovely on it's own, but recently I started adding extra Orange, and then experimented with adding a little Grapefruit as well. The result is what I have been calling "Bright Sunshiney Day" and I figured it was time to share this with others.
You can play around with the number of drops to suit your personal preference. It's not an exact science, so have fun with it!
Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
This is a wonderful recipe my friend Sara Leoni created. I originally made this for my daughter and fell in love with it myself. This is such a fun part of my skin routine now- not only does my skin stay clear, soft and nourished but I also get a boost of joy and comfort when I use it. WINNING!
I added one drop of Rose to mine. If you have that oil, you might want to as well for some extra love on your skin and your mood. Enjoy!
Want to support your breasts to stay healthy? Try this wonderful combo and use as often as you wish. Young Living's V6 oil could be substituted for the Lavender lotion if needed, but I like the lotion better. I love the way it smells and I think it lasts longer this way.
I like to say a positive affirmation about having healthy breasts as I apply, too. There is a lot to be said about using oils with intention and giving yourself another layer of the experience. I hope this little regimen works beautifully for you! I really enjoy having this as part of my health routine.
This month, one of the free oils at the 190PV level is a 15ml bottle of Melrose. What is this oil all about? I personally am OBSESSED with this oil and think it doesn't get enough attention or recognition.
First of all, this oil smells GOOD. It smells to me like clean- not like Thieves household cleaner clean- but like hospital clean. Clean clean, ya know? Extra clean,
This oil is super supportive for all things skin. I use this the way Melaleuca/Tea tree oil is used, but I like how supercharged this is with the extra goodies. I also use this often in many of the same ways I would use Lavender. It's a good one to have in the carry-around -just- in -case kit.
It is also very supportive to the immune system. I love to use a few drops of this blend and Lavender in my neti pot year round.
I like to take this in capsules for overall system support and maintaining healthy digestive tract and normal yeast levels. This blend will also help protect against daily exposures to radiation from electronics and the like.
Melrose could be a good choice for air purification when you need extra support in that area too.
Anyone else totally obsessed with this blend? Thanks Young Living for the chance to earn one of my staples for free this month!
Rosemary is a powerful herb, wonderful for immune system and respiratory support. Thank you to my wonderful friend Kylie for this tip! Comment after you try it and let us know how it went for you!
If you are anything like me, maybe you have had a lot of close encounters with Patchouli oil over the years. This is famously a scent used by extreme hippies to cover up their body odor, and they all seem to overdo it by using way too much. It isn't pretty. Full disclosure- I am absolutely a hippie myself. I just enjoy showering and smelling good. It's kind of a thing with me. Ha!
When I got my hands on a bottle of Young Living's Peace and Calming- my gateway oil that started my whole obsession- I was really shocked to learn it contained Patchouli, and that I actually liked it- more accurately, I LOVED it. I also learned it had some great benefits beyond covering up BO- and that it was very likely the strong smell I was used to for all those years was "perfume grade" oil that a)had no benefits and b) was clearly too strong and overpowering.
Patchouli went on my "want" list but I never actually got it- so I was super excited to see it offered FREE is this month's promos! I now have my bottle in my possession and I am forever changed. Young Living's Patchouli is nothing like I was used to. It smells great, and it is much "lighter" than what you might expect.
Young Living's Patchouli comes from Indonesia and this oil has a long history. Patchouli was one of the substances found in King Tut's tomb, along with Frankincense and Spikenard. These were not essential oils as we know them today, as they did not have steam distillation methods at that time.
Turns out Patchouli has many benefits, including:
~Skin support of all types, but especially great for supporting aging skin
~Calming and comforting (I feel this benefit a lot myself)
~Scalp and hair support
~Can help set the mood and support healthy libido
~Help support normal body temperature
~Immune system support
~Support healthy joints
~Endocrine system support
~Assist in keeping you "annoyance free" outdoors
I also read that Patchouli may help relax and clarify thoughts, allowing one to move past jealousies, obsessions and insecurities.
I have been enjoying adding it to my Sandalwood face cream along with a drop of Frankincense. It is great for my "over 40" skin and the scent of those two wonderful oils hangs out for a while, calming and comforting me. I also added it to my daughter's "calming and focus" blend. This is an oil I will never want to be without again!
Patchouli can also be found in the following Young Living products:
Abundance, DiGize, Live With Passion, Magnify Your Purpose, Orange Blossom Face Wash, Peace and Calming, Rose Ointment, Allerzyme and Animal Scents Ointment.
