This is a wonderful recipe my friend Sara Leoni created. I originally made this for my daughter and fell in love with it myself. This is such a fun part of my skin routine now- not only does my skin stay clear, soft and nourished but I also get a boost of joy and comfort when I use it. WINNING!
I added one drop of Rose to mine. If you have that oil, you might want to as well for some extra love on your skin and your mood. Enjoy!

Since I joined Young Living 2 1/2 years ago, I can't count all the time I have felt so thankful for their oils and products. They mean that much to me and my family. It was a life changing decision, for sure.
I really love how these little bottles of oils have given me support in ways I just couldn't access before. One of those ways is emotional support. Before oils, if I felt stressed out or upset, I just had to deal with it. I didn't have anything to help me get through those tough moments.
Last week I lost my beloved dog Gordie. He was more than just a pet to me. We had a bond and connection that is rare and hard to explain to someone who has not had that with a pet. He became sick last fall, in September 2015. We almost lost him then but we didn't, then in the midst of that we found out he had cancer. He survived his infection but then we had to fight the bigger sickness- one that was going to win eventually.
I took care of him for the following 11 months. It took a lot of my time and energy. It was draining and heartbreaking. I knew I was losing, but I did help him stay alive a lot longer than they predicted he would. During this time I took terrible care of myself. I used my oils but not as much as I should.
Last week we had to say goodbye, and even though I knew it was coming I was in shock and heartbroken. My life is too full and I have young children that need me, I wanted to curl up in bed for a few days and sleep, but that wasn't an option. I lined up my favorite oils and I knew it was time to get serious.
These little bottles are so powerful- and boy, are they coming through for me. I am so thankful. I am thankful to have been blessed with such a wonderful dog. I am blessed to have had extra time with him. I am so blessed to have these wonderful tools to help me focus on those positives and not just the tragedy and pain of this loss.
My favorite emotional support oils are Peace and Calming, Frankincense, Valor 2, Release and Joy. I love to wear these oils topically the way you would apply perfume. I also like to apply on my ears, back of neck, and on my heart. Then after applying I will rub my hands together and cup them over my nose, and breathe deeply several times. These are also beautiful diffused. I just use whatever I feel like at the moment. Often, I will layer more than one oil on at a time. I love how oils have put me in touch with my inner voice so much more. It's there, speaking to you, you just have to trust it.
What I also love about oils during this experience is it is not covering up my feelings, the way some other coping tools would. It lets me feel them, but in a healthier way, This way they have an easier time being released. And as you noticed, we have an oil called Release for this exact reason.
In addition to my emotional needs, I found myself needing some extra digestive support this past week. I have a really unhappy belly and I am a really big fan of the digestive oils Young Living offers. Where else can you get that, aside from chalky OTC drinks/chews or prescriptions? During the height of my grief my stomach absolutely REVOLTED. I felt really horrible. Digize and Peppermint really came through. I am still having challenges, but using Peppermint regularly through the day is keeping things manageable. I just love Young Living's Peppermint! I am not really sure what I would be going through without it right now.
This is why I am so drawn to tell others about these oils, The earth provides us with these amazing gifts, all around us, Plants are filled with power and potential. I feel so lucky to know about this amazing secret, but I want everyone I love and care about to know the secret too! Life can be really tough sometimes, but we can make it a little easier on ourselves.
Thank you Gordie, for 11 years of love and devotion. And thank you Young Living for helping me through this brutal time.
Soon, I will share the details of how oils helped Gordie during his last year as well. He loved oils too.
Want to support your breasts to stay healthy? Try this wonderful combo and use as often as you wish. Young Living's V6 oil could be substituted for the Lavender lotion if needed, but I like the lotion better. I love the way it smells and I think it lasts longer this way.
I like to say a positive affirmation about having healthy breasts as I apply, too. There is a lot to be said about using oils with intention and giving yourself another layer of the experience. I hope this little regimen works beautifully for you! I really enjoy having this as part of my health routine.
This month, one of the free oils at the 190PV level is a 15ml bottle of Melrose. What is this oil all about? I personally am OBSESSED with this oil and think it doesn't get enough attention or recognition.
First of all, this oil smells GOOD. It smells to me like clean- not like Thieves household cleaner clean- but like hospital clean. Clean clean, ya know? Extra clean,
This oil is super supportive for all things skin. I use this the way Melaleuca/Tea tree oil is used, but I like how supercharged this is with the extra goodies. I also use this often in many of the same ways I would use Lavender. It's a good one to have in the carry-around -just- in -case kit.
It is also very supportive to the immune system. I love to use a few drops of this blend and Lavender in my neti pot year round.
I like to take this in capsules for overall system support and maintaining healthy digestive tract and normal yeast levels. This blend will also help protect against daily exposures to radiation from electronics and the like.
Melrose could be a good choice for air purification when you need extra support in that area too.
Anyone else totally obsessed with this blend? Thanks Young Living for the chance to earn one of my staples for free this month!
WOW! This month's promo is A-MAY-ZING!
I am pleased to be getting a free bottle of Cedarwood and Melrose, both favorites! Cedarwood is a nighttime staple in my home to help us have a deep, restorative sleep, and I am completely obsessed with Melrose! I love to use it to support healthy skin and I also use it in my neti pot along with saline and Lavender.
Manuka is a rare offering and this is a super nice one to have in your arsenal. Google Manuka Honey if you want to find out about some of the cool things about how that plant can support skin and healthy systems.
A free diffuser is always welcomed, as is bonus ER points, but the ART Skin care line here as the icing on the cake, wow! I cannot wait for my package to arrive. Spa day, anyone?
What is your favorite part of this offering?
Rosemary is a powerful herb, wonderful for immune system and respiratory support. Thank you to my wonderful friend Kylie for this tip! Comment after you try it and let us know how it went for you!
